The Global Happiness Alliance (GHA) & Social Entrepreneurs with Integrity Association (SEIA) through its collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), learned that refugees from Myanmar are facing significant language barriers in Malaysia, hindering their ability to interact with the local community in daily life. To help address this challenge, GHA launched an online Basic English Communication Course aimed at teaching practical vocabulary and expressions commonly used in everyday situations. The goal is to support refugees in improving their basic language skills and integrating more smoothly into the local society.

The first class was held on November 5, 2024, with a total of nine refugee participants. A Malaysia local university professor was invited to lead the session. The participants were actively engaged in discussions and demonstrated strong enthusiasm for learning. This foundational course is expected to help them gradually overcome language barriers, enhance their ability to communicate in daily life, and foster greater interaction and integration with the community.

第一堂課於2024年11月5日正式開課，共有9位難民參與。課程邀請馬來西亞本地大學教授擔任講師，學員們積極參與討論，展現出高度學習動力。此基礎課程有望協助參與者逐步克服語言障礙，提升在日常生活中的溝通能力，增進與社區的互動與融合。
